Galvachem GmbH was originally founded in 1983 as Deca-Chemie GmbH and, after changing its name in 1989, has established itself in the chemical industry with an excellent service and delivery programme. WISTEMA and Galvachem have enjoyed a trusting partnership in various areas of the chemical industry for decades. Galvachem GmbH offers a diverse product portfolio with applications in the food, animal feed, plastics, coatings and paint industries. This includes various products such as acetic and phosphoric acid, polyethylene glycols, ammonium chloride and specialities such as 4-methoxybenzylamine.

The acquisition not only strengthens WISTEMA's current portfolio, but also enables it to include additional products in its range. "Galvachem is the ideal company for us to acquire because its excellent reputation and strategic focus mean that it occupies a niche that complements our business model perfectly. In addition, we have gained an expert in chemicals trading in our longstanding business friend Reiner Heitfeld, who will remain with us as an employee," explains Lars Friedel, Managing Director of WISTEMA GmbH.

It was also important for Martina and Reiner Heitfeld to hand over their life's work into trustworthy hands. "The partnership between WISTEMA and Galvachem is characterised by transparency and trust. The takeover will result in a variety of synergies that we want to utilise to expand our current business activities," explains Reiner Heitfeld.
